  • Progress monitoring: baseline, per-session exit tickets, biweekly reports, end-of-cycle summary

Alignment to the NYC Public Schools HIT standards

Consistent & frequentThree or more sessions every week on a fixed schedule your school sets, for 10–12 week cycles that follow the NYCPS calendar.
Low ratioOne tutor to no more than four students, and often fewer. Groups are formed by skill need, using your school’s own assessment data.
DosageSessions of 30–45 minutes, at least 90 minutes per student per week. We track minutes actually delivered, not minutes scheduled, and report them.
Relationship-basedEach group keeps the same tutor from the first session to the last. Cameras on, names known, and every absence followed up.
Data-drivenBaseline diagnostic, an exit ticket every session, a progress report every two weeks, and an end-of-cycle report against the measures your school uses.
High-quality curriculumStandards-based materials aligned to your core curriculum (including NYC Reads and NYC Solves materials where your school uses them), with the vocabulary and models students see in class.

Differentiators

  • Explicit teaching of how learning works, practiced on core content, at no cost in tutoring time
  • Internal mastery standard: 90%+ on unaided skill checks, confirmed in spaced review

  • School-led design: your students, schedule, goals, and report format

Readiness & compliance

  • NYCPS PETS clearance (fingerprinting, background check) before any student contact
  • FERPA and NY Education Law §2-d; NYCPS data privacy terms signed before receiving data
  • Liability insurance at NYCPS levels, bound before services
